IGS Energy is a retail electric, natural gas, and home protection provider serving multiple deregulated energy markets in the United States. Based in Dublin, Ohio, IGS Energy is one of the largest independent suppliers of electricity and natural gas in the country. A family-owned company with more than 25 years of operating history, IGS serves over one million residential, commercial, and industrial customers. IGS markets retail electric service in Texas, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York. IGS also markets retail natural gas service in California, Illinois, Ohio, New York, Maryland, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Virginia.
Retail electric and natural gas customers have the opportunity to select from a variety of IGS Energy pricing plans. Products vary by market and can include fixed price and variable price plans. For customers in markets with default utility service, pricing plans may be available that guarantee savings relative to the utility energy rate. Fixed price retail electric products offered by IGS typically include terms from 12 to 36 months. Plans with 100% renewable energy content are also available for customers who want to help the environment. IGS offers home protection services in select markets. These services include in-home utility line protection, outside utility line protection, and HVAC system protection.
IGS also serves commercial electric and natural gas customers. Small businesses can enroll online in a similar manner to residential customers. IGS classifies small businesses as using less than 1000 MCF/year of natural gas or less than 100,000 kWh/year of electricity. Larger commercial customers receive custom pricing designed for their specific needs. IGS also provides large commercial and industrial customers with dedicated account representatives.
IGS Energy residential customers can participate in a fuel rewards program that provides discounts on gasoline purchases at participating Shell stations. Customers can access their account online to view bills, view payment history, and monitor rewards. IGS maintains a customer care call center available Monday thru Friday from 7 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm.
