Absolute disappointment. I have been nothing but a loyal customer for over 5 yrs. I have never paid late, I have never... asked for assistance. When we recently had a flood in our apt due to a burst pipe from freezing weather, my thermostat stayed on for 5 days and we were unable to enter the premises. I called to get those 5 days off my bill as you can imagine how high the bill was. They didn't help at all and refused to get the days off my bill. They gave me a phone # to call for bill assistance (which is not something I will use due to there are people who actually need those services), then they offered to extend my due date. I explained that was not the point. And nobody would listen they treated me like it didn't matter. So being the loyal customer I am, I paid because I have enough headaches to deal with. The two stars are for the ease of getting in touch with them and the relatively low call-wait times. However, my... experience with them has led me to decide that I will not be utilizing their service again.Lack of communication -- It seems that their operations works in such a way that their team isn't able to look at all relevant information that would make it easier for the customer to make a full and final payment. I made a payment in full (I believed) in January only to learn now that there was a payment that didn't go through in December. Why I wasn't informed of this when I called in January to clear any dues, I don't know. The answer I have received is that the representative did not see the late charge. The company makes it difficult for me to clear my balance, which is shoddy procedure at best.Lack of customer service -- while the representatives I spoke with tried to be helpful (even though one of them missed out on giving me information/ was not equipped to give me information), the service I received from their account supervisor was very questionable. I was repeatedly asked if I thought this confusion was their fault and informed that it wasn't!Not communicating clearly with your customers is definitely not the customer's fault. Not making it easy for people to pay you their balance in full is definitely not a customer's fault. Unfortunately, it seems that the company does not have a strong focus on customer service, their operations are not designed to empower associates, and the middle management is lacking in service skills.A negative experience I am not looking to relive.read more

Six years ago I found out I would be moving back to Houston and went on-line to find an electric provider. I was... amazed to find out the number of providers now in Houston and I picked Cirro because I liked their colors and their website. I was able to get everything done on-line and when I moved in August 2012 my account was already set up and so was my electricity. I found they are very reliable and offer great rates. I take advantage of their offering of a 2 year contract and will continue. I have had NO problems and will continue to be a Cirro customer as long as I am in Houston. I WOULD LIKE TO RESCIND EVERYTHING I SAID ABOUT CIRRO. I JUST GOT MY LAST BILL AND IT WAS NOT WHAT I HAD AGREED TO AND SIGNED THE CONTRACT FOR. I CALLED AND TALKED TO 2 PEOPLE WHO SAID I SIGNED THE CONTRACT AND I WAS STUCK WITH IT FOR THE NEXT 1-1/2 YEARS. I AM VERY UNHAPPY AND WILL BE LOOKING FOR A DIFFERENT ELECTRIC SUPPLIER VERY SOON. Haven't received my bill in the mail for the past 3 months. Have called to get the address fixed each time the address... is correct on file they tell me. They say once we send out the mail its not there problem and I have to find out why I am not receiving my bill but if I send them a payment in the mail and they do not receive it its still my problem. They don't care about the customer or want to find out why I am not getting my bill but have no problem penalizing me. It just electricity which you can get from any service provider. They aren't doing anything special so I would HIGHLY recommend trying another provider. Unfortunately I am stuck in a 5 year contract but defiantly won't be renewing with them.read more

Yes they have great rates but they will stick it to you by doubling them in the end. I have my bills drafted so really... never see the bills or payments sometimes for 4-6 weeks until I reconcile my account. My electric "Contract" obviously had expired and they nearly doubled the bill on me to over $.14 per kwh for two months. Told them I would stay with them if they made the "new" rate retroactive back to when the old one expired. They offered $100.00. Good-bye and Good riddance!read more
I love Cirro! Long story short I had them for about 5 years, contract was ending, shopped around and thought I was... getting a better deal and went with another company...3 letters begins with T. Needless to say my first bill contained a bunch of fees they did not tell me about and was almost $100 more than was quoted to me. I immediately cancelled, didn't care about the $150 fee it was worth it to go back to Cirro. Switching back after 32 days was super easy! What I love about Cirro is that there are no hidden fees, upfront cost all the way. I will never make that mistake again...lesson learned the hard way!read more
For the first year of my contract my bill was always 50.00-65.00 per month. Once I renewed my contract my first bill... was 100.00. I was told 10.00 of that bill was a fee because my usage was LOW. My advice is cancel them after first contract is up, because if you renew you will be paying double. Or better yet, do not use them at all...I have made a complaint to Texas Utilities Commission. I encourage others that have been ripped off by Cirro to do same. Look at all the one star reviews they have. There's a reason. AVOID.Edit 3/2020: Most recent bill 127.00 for one bedroom apartment (3 days no electricity).....they are going up every month. Avoid these crooks. Zero stars! Agent lied about a new plan that would save me money. Turns out I ended up paying double every month... (almost $200/mo for a 780sq. ft. apartment). I didn't do anything different between the two plans. Then everyone I spoke with about switching back to my old plan tried to give me the runaround and ignored what I really needed. Horrible service. I called for a residency letter required by my water company and the rep was extremely nice and polite and I received my letter within minutes. Cirro never informed me my two year contract was up with them as an energy provider. On their month to month contract... option, their raised my billing rate by almost half, an exorbitant amount to pay for energy by any standard, during the hottest and most energy inefficient month. I would have happily signed up for a new contract with them, despite the fact they are not the cheapest company. I am fortunate that this is not an undue to hardship on me, but I can't imagine how this would affect someone who is just scraping by in the current COVID financial climate. Price has been at or below market for years when all details are included. Many plans available. Billing has always been accurate. I don't even want to give one star. ABSOLUTELY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've spend countless hours on the phone with a... rep "trying" to get a supervisor on the phone but they never can and won't even answer the instant messages. I've left my sales rep Oscar 5 voice mails, I've sent the supervisor Michelle Thomas 3 emails and have left another sales rep, Peter 3 voice mails but not ONE person returns my calls or replies to my emails. Then to top things off, I was told there aren't any notes on the account. This is just ridiculous and people don't have time to sit on the phone for hours.read more
Received an offer from Cirro Energy for simply flat rate $140.00 a month, no base fee no deposit. Filled out... information online and the pulled a credit, excellent credit, and they still wanted $168.00. stayed on phone for 20 minutes to speak to supervisor. No one returned back to phone. This is false advertising from this company. Don't waste your time. I was going to go with this company to save a little money but sticking with the company I've been with for years.read more

This was the first time that I wasn't denied a deal that was "at least" as good as the deals that new customers can get. In fact, it was better. Additionally, I was not given any long pre-scripted responses that had nothing to do with the questions I was asking. Instead, I received everything I needed quickly and without hassles! Good pricing compared to other companies, but the Reliant delivery fee makes my bill higher than what I have actually... consumed. Customer service has poor comprehension which makes it difficult to get issues resolved or inquiries answered accurately. I was switched to a plan without the Reliant delivery fee, but the price is higher per kilowatt so it comes out to be the same price. Every time I pay my bill online, I receive an emailed receipt but when I asked a rep to email me the confirmation that my service was being transferred over, they kept sending me a blank attachment and telling me my email address on file is invalid. I received confirmation via postal mail weeks later.read more

I recently signed up with Cirro Energy. I needed to add my wife's name to our bill to show proof of residency for her.... I transferred up to a manager and was told that there is only one space for the name and they could not add her name but have added her as an authorized user. This is just so absurd that words can't describe. Especially since I know someone else that has 2 names on their bill. I asked to speak with the next manger higher than him and he told me there is none. I guess he owns the company! I will definitely be changing providers once my contract is up. I won't work with a company that is incapable of doing basic things like putting the name of husband and wife on the bill.read more
